A warm welcome to all AICJ graduates,

I am delighted to greet you through this new alumni website. I have been at AICJ since January 2011 and have now served as Principal for over a decade. During this time, I have been fortunate to witness many of you graduate and move on to exciting new chapters in your lives.

This is an exciting time for AICJ, as we are fast approaching our 20th anniversary! The years have flown by, and while some of you who graduated more recently may still be at university, many others are already in the workforce, may have gotten married, and perhaps even started families of your own.

Whatever stage of life you are in, I truly hope you are doing well and that you still look back fondly on your days at AICJ.

One of the reasons for developing this website is to strengthen our connections with alumni as your numbers continue to grow, and to encourage you to maintain a strong bond with AICJ.

Over the past decade, we have built a new school building, and our IB programme has expanded to include around 90 students across the high school years. We continue to develop and enhance our English programme, with well over 150 students now regularly achieving Eiken Pre-1 certification. Our domestic courses also remain strong, consistently sending students to a wide range of Japanese universities. In addition, we established a girls’ football team, which now regularly qualifies for national tournaments.

In addition, our graduates have attended—and are attending—universities all over the world, including in Hungary, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Malaysia, Germany, and Singapore.

There is a wonderful wealth of experience among you, with many working in diverse industries both in Japan and abroad. We would love for you to share your journeys with current AICJ students to inspire them and to help maintain a strong and supportive alumni network.

Over the next 10 years, we hope many exciting things will continue to happen at AICJ. I look forward to seeing our alumni community grow both in number and in experience. I hope to welcome you back to AICJ when you visit, and I wish you all the very best.

 

AICJ卒業生の皆さんへ

この度は、同窓会ホームページの新規開設に伴い、このように皆さんにご挨拶できることを大変嬉しく思います。私は2011年1月からAICJに在職しており、現在は10年以上にわたり校長を務めています。この間、多くの生徒の新たな門出を見送ることができたことは非常に感慨深いものです。

時が経つのは早いもので、AICJは創立20周年を迎えようとしています。卒業生の中にはまだ大学生もいれば、就職して仕事をしている人、結婚をして家庭を築いている人もいるでしょう。

皆さんが、それぞれの人生のステージで、今も元気に暮らしていることを願っています。そして時折、AICJでの日々に思いを馳せてくれているのなら嬉しい限りです。

このホームページを開設した目的の一つに、毎年生徒が卒業していく中で、卒業生との絆をより深めていきたいという願いがあります。そして、卒業生の皆さんに母校との繋がりを持ち続けていただきたいと考えました。

この10年の間に、新しい校舎の建設が行われました。また、高校のIBプログラムの在籍数は約90名にまで拡大しました。本校の英語教育は一層強化され、発展を続けており、英検においては150名を超える準一級合格者を定期的に輩出しています。国内コースも以前同様に充実しており、毎年多くの生徒が様々な大学へと進学しています。また、創設された高校女子サッカー部は、何度も全国大会に進出するチームになりました。

海外の大学進学先としては、ハンガリー、アメリカ、カナダ、オーストラリア、ニュージーランド、イギリス、オランダ、台湾、マレーシア、ドイツ、シンガポールなど、世界各地に広がっています。

卒業生の皆さんには、日本や海外のさまざま業界で活躍している人が多く、素晴らしい活動をされています。その経験を本校の在校生たちとシェアしていただけたらとてもうれしく思います。皆さんのストーリーが生徒たちの刺激になります。また、同窓会コミュニティにおいても、卒業生同士の支え合いにより、より一層強固なネットワークの維持につながることでしょう。

これから先の10年も、AICJでたくさんの素晴らしい出来事が続いていくことを楽しみにしています。そして、卒業生のコミュニティが、今後も拡大を続け、それぞれの経験を掛け合わせて大きく発展していく様子を見守っていけることを楽しみにしています。皆さんが母校を訪問することがあれば心から歓迎します。皆さんの今後のご活躍を心よりお祈り申し上げます。
